PROGRAM AND PLAN OF ACTIONS
TOP 5 CONCERNS:

A.  PASAMPA – Pamparokyang Samahan ng Migranteng Pamilya – These are parish based organizations of migrants and the families left behind. The basic thrust of this organization is to care for and protect the families of migrants, and to strengthen their relationships in the midst of separation due to migration.

B.  ANAK BATANGUEÑO – It is a fact that the children of the Migrants or OFW are the primary group that is being affectd by migration. Beginning with the Catholic schools of the Archdiocese of Lipa, we want to provide care and guidance to these children.

C.  MEMBERSHIP – From all the parishes and all schools, we will continue our listing of memberships. We have an estimated 200,000 OFW and Migrants both legal and illegal. We need to reach out to them in one way or another and provide them with necessary pastoral program of care for them and their families. We need to establish a membership listing so we can identify them and provide them the necessary services and assistance.

D.  WEBSITE/ WEBPAGE – With the continuing development of information technology and worldwide communication through the internet, it is an urgent call for us to set up a website in connection with our Archdiocesan Website. This will facilitate better communication among all Batangueño migrants all over the world.

We initially wanted to set up our own website but there is already an existing website for the Archdiocese so it will be to our best interest to just connect ourselves to it. With the massive resources regarding migration and the extreme potential for better communication among migrants and their families, this setting up of a website is both urgent and necessary.  Thus, these pages you are browsing now.

E.  FUNDING/ FINANCES – As any organization demands, there must be funding that will support the operation of the commission and the activities thereof. We need to establish an office to monitor all programs and activities. We need computers, office materials and supplies, telephone lines, internet access. We need traveling and communication expenses. We need to pay a decent salary and allowance for a staff working hard for the pastoral care program for migrants. We need funds for seminars, training and formation programs, family days, PASAMPA days, Anak Batangueño activities and congress, National Migrants Sunday. We will eventually need a vehicle to provide better mobility in promoting all our programs. There are a lot more needs that will demand financial stability to make the program work fluidly.
