Mama in Cyberspace
BY LIWANAG AMOR RIVERA

I am a mother for almost twenty one years.  My children are naturally very caring and thoughtful.  I always receive personalized cards with matching drawings and other art works during Mothers' day.  All of them are very special to me.   This year they gave me something different and likewise very special, too.  A power point presentation very different from the cards they gave me but the same message "They love me and very thankful for the love I am sharing with them".  Modern technology made me "Mama in Cyberspace".  The peak of my everyday is the time that I am talking and seeing them in computer.  Live via computer and I can see them and talk to them almost about everything. Mama, mama what do you think of ... Mama you know.... Mama yesterday I am.... Mama... mama... mama ... endless chatting and when time for bye bye a lot of smiley figures of hug, kisses, waving hand etc. etc.  Of course I have a special moment also with my husband and just the same chatting and warm hellos.  Love and affection can be shared in cyberspace.  I am very grateful to the modern technology it breaks the distance of separation.  If you have not thanked God for modern technology pause for awhile and thank Him even if it would mean "You are in Cyberspace"
